On December 2nd, 2022, I had the privilege of receiving an invitation from the Concern India Foundation to serve as a judge for the 14th annual "Splash" Painting competition, specifically designed for children with special needs. This heartwarming event took place at the Rangasthala, Rangoli Art Centre in Bengaluru, and was generously supported by Cadence. The competition featured participants from six remarkable schools: Apoorva Centre for Autism, Shristi Special Academy, The Association of People with Disability, Liza's Home, Divya Downs Development Trust, and Samarthan Trust.
It was truly awe-inspiring to witness these exceptionally gifted children express themselves through the medium of colour. I felt deeply humbled by the profound connection that art provided, allowing us to communicate on a level beyond words. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Sankalita Das, Branch Manager of Concern India Foundation, for extending this opportunity to me and allowing me to be part of such a meaningful experience as a judge for this painting competition.
