Workshop

De-stress with Colors

"Color is a power which directly influences the soul."
― Wassily Kandinsky

As an active member of FICCI Flo, Bengaluru Chapter, and a core committee member of the FLO Art and Culture Vertical for the year 2022-2023, I had the privilege of collaborating on a special workshop under the leadership of our dedicated chairperson, Jayshree Menon. This unique workshop was hosted at the picturesque Green Theory, a charming colonial-style bungalow with a bohemian ambiance.

The workshop, aptly titled "De-stress with Colors," aimed to introduce the therapeutic benefits of art to our esteemed FICCI Flo members and make art accessible to all. During this creative gathering, I had the pleasure of guiding and inspiring 20 talented women in the world of acrylic and mixed media on canvas. I shared various techniques, fostering a sense of spontaneity, and encouraged them to let their creativity flow freely without fixating on the end result.

We engaged in meaningful discussions about how art serves as a non-verbal form of expression and how it possesses the remarkable ability to soothe the mind. It was my firm belief that prior drawing skills were unnecessary to participate in this workshop, ensuring that every member felt welcomed and empowered to explore their artistic side.

The afternoon was a delightful tapestry of artistic expression, with each participant leaving with a unique and personalized artwork, a testament to their creativity and newfound passion. These one-of-a-kind pieces became cherished mementos that they could proudly display in their homes, reminding them of the enriching experience we shared.
